Why I wanted one, I honestly couldn’t say. A friend of mine who was a chef in a fancy restaurant at the time had said something about better results, but I could not have told you what

Thankfully, the modern kitchen scale design has made two major improvements over the past two decades and you can now get a digital scale the size of a short paperback for about $10 new.

So, why would you want a kitchen scale anyway? Precision? Well, yeah, this’ll make your baking more precise and you’ll be able to calculate your calories more accurately if that’s your thing, but that’s not why I love mine. I love my kitchen scale because it saves me time.

I don’t know about you, but my time is precious to me. I love being in the kitchen, but my time can get pretty scarce. Once you get to know your scale, it’s not just more precise, it’s quicker to just pour your ingredients into your bowl. Plus, hey, no measuring cups and spoons too wash!
